Franquette walnut sapling,  rooted in France  Walnut saplings are very popular among the pollinator walnut varieties. It is another of the late blooming walnut varieties. Fruit yield is not high because it cannot pollinate its own flowers. It also lies too late to fruit. For these reasons, it is generally used as a pollinator since it cannot be used as a main species. Although it starts to bear fruit between the ages of 6-7, it has no economic value since its fruits are small. The weight of the fruits is approximately 5 grams. The internal fruit rate is around 46%. Its fruits are light colored but very tasty.
