How to Establish a Correct and Efficient Walnut Garden?
One of the most curious subjects when establishing a walnut garden is the amount of walnut saplings to be planted in one acre and the planting interval. The optimum planting spacing recommended for walnut saplings is 7x5 meters. It is important to keep a distance of 7 meters each so that tractors or other agricultural vehicles can be used comfortably in the works in the garden.

In 7x5 plantings, 28 walnut saplings can be planted per acre.
Is Fertilizer Used When Planting Walnut Saplings?
In the first year of planting walnut saplings, care should be taken to use organic fertilizers. One of them is organic vermicompost.
Organic vermicompost: It enables the roots of walnut saplings to develop faster and stronger, while worm manure also increases leaf development and ensures more frequent flowering in trees.
Footnote: These worms also have the ability to produce half their body weight in manure.
What is the Difference Between Standard Certificate and Blue Certificate?
In order to increase walnut production in our country, our state provides support to the owners of walnut orchards.
There are two types of certificates;
Standard (Yellow) Certificate: It is the certificate that the government gives support of 100 TL per acre.

Blue Certificate: It is the certificate that the government gives support of 400 TL per acre.
Bodur Ceviz Nedir ?

Ülkemizde ceviz üreticileri yabancı çeÅŸit ( Chandler, Fernor, Howard vb.) cevizleri bodur ceviz olarak tanımlıyor. Bunun sebebi ülkemizdeki yerli çeÅŸit ceviz aÄŸaçlarının boylarının 30-40 metreleri bulurken yabancı çeÅŸitlerin boyları 15-20 metrelerde kalmasıdır. Evet bir bakıma yabancı cinsler yerli cinslere göre daha bodurdur. Ama bir meyve aÄŸacına bodur tanımlaması yapabilmek için aÄŸacın boyunun 4m’yi geçmemesi ve en az bir dönüme 100 tane dikilebilmelidir.
Yani aslında “ bodur ceviz ” diye bir ÅŸey yoktur.
